FOR PINOYS AROUND THE WORLD
The name came up when I was taking pictures at the San Juanico Bridge in Leyte. Passing vehicles would slow down and someone would yell out Hey-Joe or sometimes Hi-Joe. But before I could holler back and tell them i'm not a "Joe", they would be gone. A different thing happened on our way to Subic at the SCTEX. I took pictures of people harvesting rice but when my subjects spotted me, they just dropped everything and started "Hey-Joe"ing me instead. Thus I got the name Hey-Joe!
This website came about because of my desire to share with you all Pinoys out there, scattered throughout the world, some pictures of sights and images that are uniquely Filipino. I have been away from the Philippines for almost a decade and in the couple of times that I have gone home it was only then that I realized how beautiful our country is and I have captured all these in pictures. So for those of you who want to see the Philippines again but just can't do it at the moment, I hope my pictures will temporarily ease your longing for home.
Presently I am residing in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada so I am also showing you some of the nice places that you can go to should you want to have a vacation in this side of the world and all the other places that I have been to.
Photography has been my hobby and my passion and I want to share with you some of the nice ones I have taken. I will be changing pictures at least once a week.
WELCOME and MABUHAY!!!"
